Health and Safety Officer - Belgium

We are presently seeking interest for an experienced Health & Safety Officer for big construction project in Belgium, who will be responsible for implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. Health & Safety Officer willl work closely with construction workers, site managers, and clients to maintain a safe working environment and drive continuous improvements in safety work performance.

Health & Safety Officer Responsibilities:

  • Conducting workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Implementing health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
  • Assesing and managing workplace risks, ensuring the implementation of appropriate safety controls.
  • Conducting site audits, inspections, and accident investigations, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining accurate safety records, reports, and incident logs.
  • Providing safety training and guidance to employees.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and standards.
  • Staing up to date with health and safety legislation changes.

Necessary Requirements:

  • 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally in a construction setting
  • Health & Safety qualification
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance, and risk management
  • Organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Good English (written and spoken)
